Ban reason : Useless replies to thread.
I was banned from the XYZ forum and used as an example in Staff announcements on incorrect grounds.
I'm not saying anything against breaking the forum rule, I can accept that. I predict that anyone who takes this case is well aware of what rule it is about and even small about the incident as it affects Staff. (Otherwise heres the rule https://thexyznetwork.xyz/thread/56 )
But at the XYZ forum, the forum's rules for Staff were established under a thread called Thread Support, ( https://imgur.com/a/cESKdTB ). This is a thread that I and many other people have never noticed and not been aware of. Just in the way Management have chosen to name the thread. It has now resulted in several of us being punished. While it is really a lack within the forum of management that has caused so no one has read through it. Not a matter of personal intent to break the rule.
In a private conversation with Pepper. Does he say he thinks its obvious that people should read through sticked threads. While I was trying to explain to him that it is not as obvious to everyone else as to Management when the thread is named in the way it is mentioned.
In staff announcements ( https://imgur.com/a/BFqAJTl ). Management publishes a message in which them using me as an example. I work hard the time I am on the server to get a good reputation and broad contacts within the server. I have no problems using me as an example, But when Management writes that we are now being banned once then next time will be a strike, it is nothing I appreciate, Because it hurts my work to my reputation and my work to be a good staff. This hits everyone in Staff as a ping and they will see that Loog has been put out on announcements in a screenshot and violated rules.
You may also note that in announcements Pepper writes that he does not know how many times staff have been banned for this.
It's just a clearer sign that the rule have not been clear enough since many are being banned in a contentious way unware of why.
Due to Management's poor way of establishing this rule and the handling of actions by people who have broken the rule under these circumstances and also to place me in announcements in this way, I do now request 25,000.
Because it damages my integrity as reputation and opportunities for success in staff and other Roleplay departments.
Please do not publish unnecessary comments.
Thank you for following the template for a compensation request. I'm not entirely sure what compensation you want you simply state 25,000 which in the context you have made this application is basically meaningless.
None the less, this issue is not one of compensation. From what I can gather from your post you are annoyed you were banned from the forums for 24 hours and used as an example in a staff announcement. First of all the ban was completely justified let's take a look at an example below;
If somebody joins the server mass RDM's and you as a moderator pull them onto a roof about to ban them when they say "I didn't read the rules so I didn't know killing loads of people for no reason wasn't allowed" would this stop you from banning them, I hope the answer is no.
Your excuse of not reading an important thread telling me how to use the forums doesn't stop you from being banned. Even if you haven't read that particular thread common sense as well as the multitude of times it had already been said should have informed you of this rule.
As for being used as an example in a staff announcement this has happened to multiple staff members through their time as staff, in your case it helps other staff understand what not to do and demonstrates what happens if they do it.
I will just add that this particular ban is not recorded anywhere and will not show up on your official record. Just be mindful not to do it again otherwise there will be a strike issued that will go on your record and may affect future opportunities in staff.
Your application for compensation has been declined I suggest in future you read important documents and take this in your stride as a learning experience.
